As the National Assembly resumes tomorrow, there is anxiety following the May 5, 2021 threat by the opposition lawmakers to apply all constitutional means to save Nigeria from collapse.
At the plenary on the said date, Senators of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) had traded blame over the rising insecurity across the country.
The PDP Senators accused President Muhammadu Buhari of not only breaching the constitution but also being absent from duty in the face of worsening insecurity bedeviling the country.
But the APC senators disagreed, saying the Buhari administration was busy tackling insecurity.
The Minority Caucus of the National Assembly, led by the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, accused President Buhari of breaching the constitution.

Nigeria Senate is contemplating on proffering local a lasting solution to the endless farmers/herders clashes in the country.
Senate Leader, Senator Yahaya Abubakar Abdullahi, stated this while speaking with journalists in his office on Monday, saying that the upper legislative chamber was worried by the dangerous dimension of the crisis in the South West and other parts of the country.
He said, as the Senate resumes from its break tomorrow, the motion to debate on the farmers/herders’ crisis has been prioritised with a view to finding a lasting solution.
The leader of the Senate, Yahaya Abdullahi said, a motion for the debate on farmers/herders clashes, particularly the recent ones that happened in Ondo and Oyo States has been prepared by the Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Robert Ajayi Boroffice.
The Lower Niger Congress (LNC) has demanded different constitutions in Nigeria. The coalition argued that this would put an end to activities of violent
