Chilean parties show their candidates for presidential elections
Santiago de Chile, Jan 25 (Prensa Latina) Chilean parties are currently starting off by presenting their candidates for coming November´s presidential elections, despite warnings of excessive haste to reach the presidency.
The Renovacion Nacional party, the largest right-wing one, finally elected former Defense Minister Mario Desbordes as its major candidate to fight in the primaries the Chile Vamos ruling coalition.
In the other parties, Evopoli and the Independent Democratic Union (UDI), things are still not very clear, since there has been no effective proposal in Evopoli so far, although Ignacio Briones, minister of Treasury, has been recently gaining strength.
