KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami chief Senator Sirajul Haq on Thursday said the federal government and the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) are fighting mainly for the chair.
The PDM’s component parties, mainly the Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, had supported the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government on every occasion, including on selling out Kashmir, destroying the economy, dooming education, accepting the slavery of World Bank and IMF, and passing FATF-related laws, said Siraj, while addressing an event organised by the Karachi Bar Association (KBA),
The JI chief said the federal government and PDM were also on the same page on setting up military courts and giving an extension to the chief of the army staff.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the foreign policy under the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is a complete failure , Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
Sirajul Haq said that people of Pakistan would never allow the government to make any underhand deal on Kashmir, adding rulers will not be forgiven in case they tried to sell Kashmir.
Talking about the current political scenario in the country in the wake of protest campaign launched by the opposition alliance, the JI chief said there is dire need of electoral reforms in the country.

The Senate session on Monday saw the opposition criticising the government with former Senate chairman Raza Rabbani of the PPP saying that there was no point in holding dialogue with the government while talks between the state institutions were the only solution to take the state forward.
During the upper house session, chaired by Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, the senior PPP leader ruled out the possibility of any dialogue between the government and the opposition.
“Pakistan stands on a path where everything seems meaningless. It looks like the state has decided to expose all the fault lines without taking into account their effects on the federation,” Rabbani said.

TIMERGARA: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Senator Sirajul Haq said on Saturday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had failed on all fronts as the rulers reneged on all pledges.
Talking to reporters here, he said that this government had compounded the miseries of the people.
“The rulers have no idea how to run the government,” he remarked, adding that the prime minister himself had admitted his failure to deliver as he was unprepared for the job. Sirajul Has said that the election to the National Assembly could be held prior in case the government tried to hold the Senate election before its schedule.

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Senator Sirajul Haq on Thursday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan considers the prosperity of Bani Gala the PTI leader s residence near Islamabad as Pakistan s development.
Speaking at the Ittehad-e-Ummah Conference organised in memory of former JI chief, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Haq said the Pakistani nation had become orphaned, criticising PM Imran Khan over his residence, for the regularisation of which he had last month paid a fine worth a whopping Rs1.21 million.
