ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – One of Assemblymember Anna Kelles’ first acts of business in Albany is supporting an unprecedented package of six legislative bills.
It’s being dubbed as the ‘Invest In Our New York Act’. Proponents are touting it as the economic fix New York needs to recover from the COVID-19 crisis. Kelles and colleagues say the plan raises $50 billion and can help close the budget deficit.
Kelles adds the bill strengthens broadband services in rural areas, bolsters education funding in underserved communities and provides universal access to healthcare and childcare. -
