MANIPUR: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh felicitated Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei from the Senapati district for showing exemplary courage during the clashes with Chinese troopers of the People s Liberation Army (PLA) at the Galwan Valley in June 2020.
Acknowledging the efforts of Rangnamei, in a tweet, the Manipur chief minister wrote, Felicitate Capt. Soiba Maningba Rangnamei from Senapati Dist, Manipur of 16 Bihar Regiment who led his men during the Galwan confrontation, at my official residence today. The State always encourage our youths to join the armed forces and participate in safeguarding the Nation.

Imphal: The Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh inaugurated the Virtual Cherry Blossom Festival at Mao in Senapati district, Manipur. He inaugurated the virtual festival through Video Conferencing from his office on January 9. The virtual festival featured the picturesque landscape of Mao adorned with beautiful cherry trees, which are laden with pink flowers which have traditionally attracted visitors from across the world.
