PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has reported a record of 18 deaths and 3,631 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 2,554 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 132,706.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 176,180.

There are 42,814 active cases with 251 patients being treated in intensive care and 102 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 18 deaths bring the number of fatalities to 660.
All but one of the 18 deaths were Malaysians. Nine of them were from Selangor, three from Sabah, two each from Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak, and another one each from Johor and Penang.
