The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly double shooting Tuesday.
Law enforcement officers responded to a shooting call just after 7:30 p.m. It happened two miles south of Highway 59 on Sacred Heart Road, six miles northwest of Konawa, the undersheriff confirmed to News 9.
Authorities said a woman was taken to Seminole Hospital where she died. A man was also shot and taken to OU Medical. Authorities said he is expected to survive.
No suspect information has been released at this time.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the investigation.
