South Brevard s State Representative Randy Fine will be a key player in seeing through Governor Ron DeSantis vision for the gambling industry in the sunshine state as chair of the Florida House Select Committee on Gaming.
Fine s appointment was announced in a memo from the speaker s office Friday. This is the biggest thing that s happened to me since I ve gotten into politics, Fine said. My goal is to navigate the chamber to the best outcome for the people of Florida and leverage the expertise I built over 15 years in the industry.
Three select subcommittees on the Seminole Gaming Compact, authorized gaming activity and gaming regulation will report to Fine s 30-person committee. His vice-chair is fellow Republican legislator Elizabeth Fetterhoff of DeLand.
