Seminole County School Board votes to remove ‘Seminole Connect’ learning option for next school year Charles Frazier © Provided by WFTV Orlando The Seminole County School Board voted Tuesday to remove the district’s “Seminole Connect” remote learning option for the 2021-2022 school year. Seminole County Public Schools created four different learning models for the 2020-2021 school year, “to meet the unique needs of students, families and educators,” during the COVID-19 pandemic. One poll of teachers found that 84 percent of them felt the Seminole Connect instruction model should not continue for the 2021-22 school year. SCPS also cited student performance data that shows students participating in face-to-face learning generally outperforming Seminole Connect students.
