Homicide investigation underway after body found on Semiahmoo Spit in Whatcom County KIRO 7 News Staff
A homicide investigation is underway after a body was found Wednesday on the Semiahmoo Spit in Whatcom County.
Officers were called at about 1:30 p.m. to the 9200 block of Semiahmoo Parkway for a report of a suspected dead person at the county park.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.
The Whatcom County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as a 67-year-old South Whidbey Island man. His name is not being released until the next of kin is located, officials said. His death has been ruled a homicide.
