For several years since the-so called Grenada 19 were released from jail, the Grenadian public has been awaiting an explanation about what happened in 1983 that led to the brutal assassination of Prime Minister Maurice Bishop, several of his cabinet colleagues and many innocent Grenadians on October 19th 1983.
Some of them have written and published books but the explanation that they promised while in jail has not been forthcoming. However, quite conveniently they raised their ugly heads behind a front that they have used for years, the so-called Committee for Human Rights in Grenada (CHRG) to refute excerpts from a recent publication entitled The assassination of Maurice Bishop written by one Godfrey Smith.
