A TREASURED village hall has received a facelift thanks to over £30,000 in grant funding and the efforts of its custodians. Keekle Village Hall has seen the next stage in its refurbishment after receiving £32,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund. The venue’s usual programme of social evenings, live music events, Cleator Moor Brass Band concerts, exercise classes and seasonal fayres have been unable to take place so the committee seized the opportunity, securing more funding for its development. A £50,000 package of work has been carried out at the hall during the pandemic including re-wiring, insulating and re-plastering the walls and installing new heaters.
