The Selkirk Association of Realtors is using a $7,500 Placemaking Grant from the National Association of Realtors to help transform unused space in Kootenai into a vibrant, destination for community use, enjoyment, and educational space for elementary school students.
Last Friday, the community came together to offer high school seniors a simulative experience that many volunteers described as a “real life Game of Life.”
The collection of winter items by Coats 4 Kids is underway, and gently used and clean winter items as well as new items are being accepted. The program also accepts cash and check donations, which are used to purchase new coats.

The trio Dan Rose, Thomas Brown and Dennis Engelhardt were selected by the Bonner County Republican Central Committee as finalists for the seat. The three got their chance to pitch their selection to the Board of Bonner County Commissioners at a two-hour interview on Tuesday.
Each year, the Selkirk Association of Realtors gives thousands of dollars to local groups in need of funding for their community service-oriented projects and programs in Bonner and Boundary counties. Last year, the association awarded more than $25,000 to individuals and groups in the two counties.
