TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – There is a lot to be said about the Razorbacks’ play against No. 21 Auburn in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Tuesday evening, but lack of effort is not one of them.
A day after defeating 14th seed Mizzou to advance, Arkansas fell to sixth-seeded Auburn 4-1 with the Razorbacks’ sole win coming from senior Tatum Rice on court three.
Rice defeated her opponent in straight sets for the second consecutive night, taking down Auburn’s Yu Chen 6-3, 6-4. Rice and freshman partner Morgan Cross also picked up a 6-1 doubles win over Georgie Axon and Adeline Flach in the number one position.

It may not be The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, but it’s still rivalry week for Florida tennis. The men’s and women’s squads prepare to take on the Georgia Bulldogs, whose teams hold a 13-3 combined record.
Weekly Auburn roundup: Auburn wins gold on the track

Auburn athletics won 11 games and meets over the last week and also took home three gold medals from the SEC Indoor Track Championships.
That number was boosted by softball’s outstanding week, which featured five wins. The baseball team also contributed three, while the men’s and women’s tennis teams each added one. The No. 1 equestrian team remains undefeated to add another.
Among the sports that don’t just count wins and losses, gymnastics posted a season-high road score; the men’s swimming team saw a number of lifetime bests at the SEC Championship; and the track team won numerous medals.

Florida’s challenges have only just begun as inter-conference competition continues throughout the weekend.
The momentum is in the Gators’ favor after they rolled over the Crimson Tide Friday afternoon. Now, the men and women of Florida tennis look ahead to their next conference opponent, the Auburn Tigers.
Women’s: No. 22 Florida (3-3) visits Auburn (6-1)
Following a decisive 4-1 win over a stout Alabama squad, the Gators will travel west on Interstate 20 to Auburn to continue the SEC run.
