She seems a little stunned but also gets right to her feet. Shes got sturdy pants on, jacket, gloves, helmet. Shes well protected. But despite this incident, they were able to walk away from this incident. For them that decision to wear all of their gear, it saved their skin. Back in their homes. The fire broke out on the third floor at about 4 30 a. M. And it was tough for firefighters to reach. They had to run hoses about 400 feet through a courtyard. Neighbors say they grabbed fire extinguishers and were trying to help put it out themselves. Again, some neighbors that i spoke with say that a person may have left a candle unattended although the fire is still under investigation. There was damage to that original unit and we spoke with one man who lives next door. We were sleeping, and then we just heard screaming, uhm, couple of girls screaming next door. We werent sure what it was. Then we came out and we saw the smoke belching out of their apartment. Reporter certainly a scary morning for these people. But nobody injured.
