And their dominance was set up by a perfect morning session. Europe were already 1 0 up when debutant ludvig aberg, alongside viktor hovland, earned his first ryder cup point. That shot from hovland on the Opening Hole Setting the pair up for victory against max homa and brian harman. European pair shane lowry and sepp straka added a third before this tee shot from rory mcilroy helped him and partner Tommy Fleetwood make it 4 0 in the morning session something thats never been done before. Putting them on course for an incredible spark. And mcilroy was then part of an incredible pair in the afternoon. He and Matt Fitzpatrick beat Collin Morikowa and Xander Schauffele five and three thanks to an incredible performance from fitzpatrick, whos putting helped europe win six out of the first seven holes. Stress that thing that he did not interfere while refusing to answer specifics about these ongoing investigations. John jim jorda n pressed on why it took so long for david weiss to be named Special Counsel. Garland just appointed him Special Counsel last month even though the investigation has been ongoing for years. Heres the exchange with jim jordan. After five years what stage are we in, beginning, middle, keep hiding the ball stage . I would go back to the videotape where i said im not permitted to discuss ongoing investigations. Isnt that convenient. Something changed from july 10th to august 11th. I think its two Brave Whistleblowers came forward and the judge called bs on the deal you try to pass. The Attorney General never said what led to the ultimate appointment of the Special Counsel but he insisted throughout this process, weiss was never given limits. There was one republican that did seem to come to garlands defense somewhat, it was colorado republican ken buck and said
