do you need mulch? what, we have a ton of mulch. the supreme court giving a big win to voting rights today. in a 6-3 ruling, the justices decided that the north carolina supreme court did not violate the u.s. constitution when it invalidated the state s 2022 congressional map. the ruling rejected a controversial trump-backed election theory that woo have given state legislatures a limited role in reviewing election rules in federal elections. former president obama just one of the people applauding the court s ruling, saying in a statement, quote, this ruling is a resounding rejection of the far-right theory that has been peddled by election deniers and
republican congressman scott perry. he s one of the people who bought into the notion that election theory was compromised in 2020. he s texting with mark meadows at the time. he was a person who put donald trump in touch with jefflyrey clark, who was a doj official who trump wanted to install at the head of the justice department to push the conspiracy claims. we don t know whether the doj has been able to access these text messages. but it comes as the justice department through jack smith has taken a number of other steps, including firing off subpoenas to election officials in places like nevada, new mexico, georgia, wisconsin and a number of other states trying to get to the body of any contacts his allies had with officials in the important battleground states from the 2020 election. this is a big deal. we re getting new information right now about the january 6th select committee. they re beginning now the next
