St Mary s Primary School in Southampton. Picture: Google Streetview. PLANNING chiefs have received a proposal to replace the timber-framed windows at a Victorian school opposite the home of Southampton Football Club. The city council has applied for planning permission to carry out the work at St Mary s Primary School, a Grade II-listed building which overlooks St Mary s Stadium. Its application includes a design and access statement submitted by Perfect Circle. The main building is locally listed by Southampton City Council and was built in 1882, according to a plaque on the front. The building is owned by the Diocese of Winchester. However the property management is undertaken by the Anglican Diocese of Portsmouth on their behalf.
