Piano ensemble back with another musical feast

Back again to thrill audiences , four East London pianists can’t wait to share their third Symphony of Keys concert at the Guild Theatre. Featuring Jacques du Plessis, Angela Kobus, Hayley White and Jo Stemmet, Symphony of Keys sees a range of orchestral music classics presented on stage with a simple set-up of four keyboards and eight hands.

First leaving SA in 2017 to spend 18 months working at an International school in Puket and travelling South East Asia, Burger worked abroad on and off, only returning to SA between contracts.

Bhisho caves in over Selborne expulsions

The provincial education department has agreed to a court order under which it effectively conceded Selborne College’s right to expel two pupils involved in stabbing another pupil in the back. The victim needed stitches but survived. The court order brings to an end a 15-month battle between the school and the department over the expulsion of the teenagers, and sets aside the department’s 2021 refusal to approve the school’s decision to expel them.
