Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi PETALING JAYA: Certain retail stores will be allowed to continue operating despite the enhanced movement control order that begins today in parts of the Klang Valley, says the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry. Its minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said these retail premises provided essential services and necessities to the public. However, he also said that their operational hours would be limited during the enhanced MCO from July 3-16. Nanta added that details of the operations of essential services depended on the Covid-19 Coordination and Management Centre in Kuala Lumpur and the Selangor Security Council Committee.

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari ( pix) will hold a meeting with the Selangor Security Council Committee tomorrow to review the implementation of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in the state. Selangor has recorded the highest number of new infections in the country for the past three days. “Today is the third day in a row that the new Covid-19 case has reached four figures again. Tomorrow’s meeting will raise the recommendations for the implementation of CMCO in Selangor to the National Security Council for the consideration of the Federal government,“ he said in a tweet today.
