KLANG: The Selangor government is making the necessary arrangements for the state legislative assembly to reconvene soon.
Speaker Ng Suee Lim said a letter would be sent to Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah today regarding the matter.
“We have suggested that the state assembly session be held at the
end of August if His Highness is agreeable to it.
“We have yet to open this year’s state assembly session, which should have been done in March or April at the latest,’’ said Ng when contacted.

KLANG: Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah is concerned that corruption and the dissemination of fake news, with the intent to slander, are on the rise among the people, politicians and civil servants.
A statement issued by Istana Alam Shah here on Thursday (Feb 4) reiterated the Sultan’s constant concerns in regard to these issues.
“His Highness stressed that graft and slander, which is currently prevalent, is the main enemy within the community and can destroy our beloved nation.
“His Highness would like to remind the Malays especially, that graft and slander are conducts that are prohibited and sinful in Islam, the statement said.
