Yemeni Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik attended in Aden the closing ceremony of the Using Renewable Energy to Improve Quality of Life Project, which was implemented with a trilateral partnership of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND), and Selah Foundation for Development, SPA said on Wednesday. The project has benefited 62,000 people in five Yemeni governorates of Hadhramaut, Abyan, Lahij, Taiz and Al-Hudaydah.
The project is through the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, the Arab Gulf Program for Development and the Selah Foundation for Development
The inauguration, which was attended by senior Yemeni officials, aims to operate 12 drinking water projects in 11 beneficiary districts in three governorates; (Hadramout — Abyan — Lahj), benefiting about 58,500.
The first project in Hadhramaut will provide access to drinking water for 8,000 people from the 58,000 beneficiaries in 11 districts of the three governorates benefiting from the projects.
