RANAU: Several hours of torrential rain on Thursday wreaked havoc across the district with landslides, mudflows, road collapses and flash floods, causing destruction to properties and disruption of activities.
JOHOR BARU: A programme to include selawat (praises to Prophet Muhammad) in primary and secondary schools throughout Johor has been cancelled just 24 hours after it was launched.
BATU PAHAT: A heavy morning downpour in Kampung Seri Bengkal, Parit Ya’ani near here on Sunday (Sept 25) caused water levels to rise rapidly past the knee level in just less than an hour, resulting in 22 houses being inundated.
JOHOR BARU: In a tit-for-tat response, former Johor DAP chief Dr Boo Cheng Hau has hit back at Lim Guan Eng, at one point calling the party secretary-general a "yes man" to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
