With an original story back in 1985 from Seiko Tanabe that saw a 2003 live-action film, the anime adaptation of
Josee, The Tiger and the Fish is moving right along. The film saw a December 25th, 2020 debut date after being pushed back due to the usual issues, in Japan. Overseas rollouts aren’t what they were due to the pandemic but we’re now seeing some North American plans surface. Fathom Events is listing the film with a July 12th, 2021 debut where it’ll run through the 14th with English subtitles at AMC Theaters so far.
The official site is now streaming the first four minutes of this BONES animated film for people to check out and anticipate all the more.
