The gift, earmarked to help immigrant youth and families, has a family connection for Harry Seigle, former president of the Elgin lumber supplier that bears his name.
A $5 million gift from Harry J. Seigle ’71 JD will expand Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law’s immigration clinic, which represents children, young adults and parents in immigration court proceedings.
The donation is intended to allow the school’s immigration law clinic to represent more clients, hire another attorney and fund ongoing programs and operations.
