CARSON CITY Nicolas Jacques, music teacher at Carson Middle School, was honored last night as the Carson City School District’s Educator of the Year. Additionally, James “Jim” Pike, special needs school bus driver for transportation, was recognized as the Education Support Professional (ESP) Employee of the Year for the district.
American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker Jim Rohn wrote, “My mentor said, ‘Let’s go do it,’ not ‘You go do it.’ How powerful when someone says, ‘Let’s!’” The power of “Let’s” is evident in the partnership between Pioneer High School and Al Seeliger Elementary School in Carson City.
CARSON CITY As part of the AVID 8 (Advancement Via Individual Determination), eight graders from Eagle Valley Middle School took time to read books to elementary students, kindergarten through second grade, at Fremont and Seeliger Elementary schools in Carson City, Friday, Dec. 6, 2019.
