As a layer of haze continued to cover the national capital on Friday, and the air quality was recorded in the 'severe' category in several parts of the city, Delhi Minister Gopal Rai has sought the Central Government's intervention to curb pollution.
The Delhi government has decided to bear the entire cost of artificial rain for combating hazardous air pollution in the city and directed the chief secretary to present the government's views before the Supreme Court on Friday, officials said.
CM's letter to Union Minister Jaishankar read, "I request your good self to intervene in every possible manner to ensure the safety of our citizens in Israel."

The Supreme Court on Friday sought the Centre s response to a public interest litigation (PIL) challenging the validity of Section 124A of the Indian Penal Code which criminalises sedition. This is the second time in less than three months that such a plea has been placed before the court.
