So, the hardest hit sector is the tertiary sector which accounts for the production activities of hotels, and restaurants, as well as wholesale and retail, and crude materials, personal goods, among others. According to the S.I.B., the sector remains the most severely impacted by COVID-19. The eighteen point six contraction of this sector resulted largely from the shutdown of the tourism industry which saw a decline of almost eighty million dollars for the third quarter.
