Death has been announced of a catholic priest Reverend Father Dr. Dominic Kazingatchire of the Diocese of Dedza.
Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM) Secretary General Father Henry Saindi confirmed of the death in a statement released today made available to faceofmalawi.
According to Saindi, late Kazingatchire died this morning at Seventh Day Adventist Hospital in the commercial capital Blantyre.
Kazingatchire succumbed to COVID-19, according to the statement.
Until his death late Kazingatchire was serving as Director of Academic Affairs at Catholic University of Malawi.

The body of late Father Dr. Dominic Kazingatchire of the Diocese of Dedza will be laid to rest this afternoon at Bembeke Cemetery, faceofmalawi can reveal.
Late Kazingatchire died this morning at Seventh Day Adventist Hospital in Blantyre, barely few days after testing positive for COVID-19.
Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM) Secretary General Father Henry Saindi confirmed of the development in a statement made available to FOM.
“We hv lost Rev Dr Kazingatchire of the diocese of Dedza but he was working with Catholic University as Director of academic affairs.
“Late Rev Fr Dominic Kazingatchire will be laid to rest 3 pm today in bembeke Cemetery. Those attending are encouraged to take with them hand sanitizers and put on face mask. Burial will take place according to covid19 guidelines,”reads in part the statement.
