Expressing his gratitude to the family members of martyred warriors, Naveen said names of those who lost their lives will be inscribed in the memorial to keep their memory live.

Reviewing the projects in a high level meeting held on digital mode on Thursday, Justice Patnaik said, The projects proposed by different departments are well planned with appropriate objectives . During his visit to different OMBADC districts he had seen the project implementation moving at a fast rate. The feedback about the quality of the projects received from different quarters was also quite good .

Delay in wage payments to invite action: Naveen Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Tuesday directed the district magistrates (DMs) to ensure that not a single poor family suffers from lack of livelihood in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic. Naveen was reviewing the implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) and urban livelihood mission in all the districts through videoconferencing with the Collectors. “The Covid-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented challenge before us since last March. The world economic growth has slowed down and the poor people have suffered the most. The government’s priority is to ensure employment in this difficult time for the poor,” he said.

Naveen urges Collectors to ensure implementation of livelihood programmes 25 Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has urged the District Collectors to ensure that the livelihood programmes must be implemented effectively to benefit the poor. Reviewing the MGNREGA programme and urban employment schemes here on Tuesday through video conferencing, Patnaik warned the officials not to sideline the poor and the needy during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Chief Minister said it is the priority of his government to provide employment opportunities to the poor people in the rural regions of Odisha during the pandemic. He said the government has targeted for the creation of 20 crore mandays through the livelihood programmes and added that strict action will be taken against those officials who will not take adequate measures for disbursement of payments to the people immediately.
