Show Transcript SULA: WE KNOW SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK HAS PLAYED A MAJOR ROLE IN HELPING OUR COMMUNITIES DURING THIS PANDEMIC. IT HAS INSPIRED OTHERS TO STEP UP AND DO THE SAME GINA: STUDENTS AT CHAPELLE HIGH SCHOOL DONATED 20,000 CANN GOODS TO THE ORGANIZATION TODAY. IT WILL HELP PROVIDE MORE THAN 4,000 MEALS FOR FAMILIES IN OUR AREA. THE GROUP WAS ABLE TO COLLECT THE FOOD DURING A FOOD DRIVE . IT FELT GREAT TO BE INVOLVED. WE LOVE THE COMMUNITY. IT WAS TOUCHING TO SEE HOW MANY CANS WE BROUGHT OUT AS A SCHOOL. SOMETIMES IT MIGHT BE HARD TO GET EVERYONE TO RALLY BEHIND SOMETHING LIKE THIS, BUT THEY WERE DISABLED, TO JOIN TOGETHER. Port Barre Police host Mobile Food Pantry

The Port Barre Police Department is hosting a mobile food pantry with food provided by Second Harvest Food Bank on Thursday, January 28.
This happens on the last Thursday of every month at different locations in town, and this month it will be at the Port Barre High School Sports Complex.
This program has been available to Port Barre residents for more than 3 years, but since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers say they ve opened it up to anybody who needs help, no matter where they re from.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â Wells Fargo donated $28,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank on Wednesday as part of its Many Hearts. One Community. effort.
The donation will be used to provide 112,000 meals to Middle Tennessee families this holiday season. We are so grateful for this generous donation from Wells Fargo, said Nancy Keil, president and CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of Tennessee. This donation has come at a critical time as the need for our services is the highest it has ever been. This donation will help feed thousands of families this holiday season.
