Archaeologists in Egypt have discovered a limestone sphinx statue with a "smiley face and two dimples" near the Hathor Temple. This is just the latest in a series of recent discoveries, shedding new light on Egypt's rich history.
The limestone artefact was found along with the remains of a shrine inside a two-level tomb in the temple of Dendera in Qena Province, 280 miles (450km) south of the capital of Cairo.
