Moves are underway to further remember writer Dorothy Macardle in Dundalk.
Fianna Fáil Cllr. Conor Keelan tabled a notice of motion at the Municipal District s monthly meeting suggesting that Louth County Council erect a plaque at 5 Seatown Place, where the novelist, playwright and historian spent much of her childhood.
A mural has already been painted as part of the Seek Dundalk festival and the Town Council has erected a banner in her honour, but Cllr. Keelan thinks a plaque is also needed:
