down this street for several hours after the attack occurred. so if you can imagine, this was a 21,000 seat arena. we haven t been told exactly how many people were here. but there were obviously tens of thousands of fans. so it took quite a while to clear all of them out. there s going to be a lot of questions about whether or not this was managed properly. not just the investigation following the attack, but whether the minutes after the attack occurred whether this was managed. there was this initial bomb blast that likely killed quite a few people, but there will be questi questions as to whether a lot of them were also killed in the stampede that followed. certainly a developing story as we hear more and more exactly about what happened. matt, we ll talk to you later in the show. thanks for joining us. the manchester s attack is the uk s deadliest in decades.
seat arena, the arena adjoining a victoria train station in manchester, a main train station and ended the scene of the explosion or explosions apparently in what they call the foyer area outside of the main arena, the box office area so perhaps it adjacent the wider public. let s open up for just 20 seconds here as we listen in. on commercial right now. as we ve been telling you throughout the evening, somewhere in that area in england time in manchester, england, at the end of the ariana grande concert, a huge explosion was heard from some distance. the reports on the ground are that there are numerous fatalities, some of the numbers in the double digits as were hearing. we do not have a definite number on this yet. questions abound as everyone obviously wonders whether or not this is yet another terror
this 21,000 seat arena, relatively new one opened in the mid-90s is the victoria street to the next train station. basically one building a joins the next, from people outside of anyone who might ve been attending the concert. perhaps a lack of security going into the concert and some focused on the area inside the concert area. it might not be necessary to understand what is going on here. again, the arena connects with the train station in manchester and the explosions appear to come from what they call the foyer area next to the main concert hall, and that s where the explosions came from but
here s the president again. i happen to like a lot senator rand paul. i do. i look forward to working with him so we can get this bill passed in some form so that we can pass massive tax reform which we can t do until this happens. he said we ll get the bill passed in some form to get to taxes. it s pretty clear to the president and his supporters it s tax reform he really wants to get to he just has to get through obamacare repeal and replace first and serious arm-twisting a packed crowd in a 19,000 seat arena. he knows how to put the pressure on. and gracious words for the senator after all he wrote the art of the deal. gracious words for the senator and then 19,000 people saying get with it.
