The third thing i think is something we have to watch right away, which is who would president elect trump appoint to the Supreme Court to Justice Scalias vacant spot. First, you and your coauthors studied thousands of use of force incidents across the nation. What did you find . Generally speaking, across continuum of use of force from putting hands on all the way up until whats called less lethal force like using a taser, that africanamericans were more likely to be subjected to force even when we benchmarked against the rates at which whites and blacks and other groups are arrested. Kind of controlling for what youd expect to see the rate of use of force that there is more force applied to africanamericans above and beyond that. We also found for lethal force that there was no racial disparity, but the numbers are very small.
