Chelsea youngster John Swift has spent the last couple of days training with Town with a view to potentially signing before Thursday’s 5pm emergency loan deadline.
Loanee defender Darren O’Dea has been confirmed in the Republic of Ireland squad for their friendly against Norway in Dublin on Wednesday. The Celtic man was named in the preliminary squad but Town were in talks with the FAI regarding his inclusion in the final party.
Town striker Connor Wickham has completed his move to Sunderland, signing a four-year deal at the Stadium of Light.
