BALLSTON SPA - The antagonistic political campaign for two seats on the village board of trustees will be over on Tuesday night.
But the race is not over yet.
Just days before the vote, more unpleasantness surfaced with claims of infringement of a ballot line. A candidate running on A Better B Spa line, Ben Baskin, alleges that Robert Bush Jr., who campaigned on another ballot line, changed his party s name to The Best B Spa late in the game to muddle voters. It s clearly done to confuse the voters, said Baskin who also said the name should have been tossed by the village clerk, citing election law that states the name selected for the independent body making the nomination shall . not include the name or part of the name, or an abbreviation of the name or of part of the name, of a then existing party.
