Drug dealers (left to right) Alfie Damien Bailey, Ben Freer and Bradley Mark Peter Taylor were all jailed LEADERS of a seaside drug gang that recruited children to help them peddle heroin and cocaine in their neighbourhood have been jailed. The P-line gang used mass advertising techniques, sending out text messages from mobile phones to get drug addicts to buy from them, York Crown Court heard. They operated in Scarborough, particularly in the Barrowcliff estate, throughout 2020. Today, three leading members of the gang, Bradley Mark Taylor, 21, Alfie Damien Bailey, 20, and Ben Freer, 25 are behind bars serving more than 11 years. Investigation officer, Detective Constable Darrell Temple, of Scarborough CID, said: “They were found to be exploiting young, impressionable males from the local area to conduct tasks such as topping up deal phones and acting as street runners.

A body found near train tracks has been confirmed as dad-of-two Peter Brown.

Manâs body found near train tracks THE body of a man has been found near train tracks. North Yorkshire Police say they were contacted by British Transport Police officers after they found a man’s body in some overgrowth, near to train lines in the Seamer Road area of Scarborough at about 11.20am yesterday (January 21). Formal identification is yet to take place, however officers believe it is missing Whitby man Peter Brown, who was last seen in Scarborough in May 2019. A spokesman said: Peter’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. The family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this very difficult time.
