The temperatures again soaring into the triple digits out west. At least 17 fires are burning across droughtstricken california, well ahead of last years pace. And dangerous months there is still to come. The situation in california is so dire that the u. S. Forest service pulled firefighters from all 50 states and puerto rico to help. A move veteran fire Officials Say they have never seen before. We begin with Gadi Schwartz on the front lines. It means even more wildfires. It means two separate fires near los angeles overnight. One threatening 500 homes. The other torching cabins and scatters wildlife. Its brutal. When you get the temperature and the wildlife involved. It makes for very challenging physically.
