KIAWAH ISLAND RESORT, S.C. – Freshman Maxwell Moldovan lived up to the hype in his Ohio State debut as he finished tied for fourth at 10-under par. As a team, the Buckeyes finished eight in the 14-team field at 8-under par.
Moldovan carded rounds of 69-69-68 (-10) and made just one bogey over 54 holes. He was one of three players to post all three rounds in the 60s and his 42 pars were tied for the most in the tournament. Not bad for his first official collegiate event.
Fellow freshman Adam Wallin also finished under-par in his first collegiate stroke-play event, carding rounds of 71-67-75 (-3). He ended up in a tie for 23
