One Hospitalized After 14 Freeway Crash In Santa Clarita
An individual was transported to the hospital Tuesday morning following a solo-vehicle crash on the 14 Freeway in Santa Clarita.
Around 8:25 a.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision on the 14 Freeway near Sand Canyon Road in Santa Clarita, said Franklin Lopez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“Reports came in as a solo-vehicle crash,” Lopez said.
As a result of the crash, one person was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition, according to Lopez.

Officials later learned that the original crash actually took place on Thursday, Jan. 21, with Smith and Marquez being trapped in the truck since then.
Since then, a GoFundMe page has been created to help Smith pay for medical expenses brought about due to the injuries he sustained in the crash.
“Due to the nature of his injuries that occurred from this unfortunate accident and with pending surgeries, we are trying to raise money to help with his medical expenses,” the page reads. “(Jeremy) is a caring, giving, selfless, first to help others in need and now during this time, he needs our help with these expenses.”
