And welcome to bbc news. A senior cabinet minister has said the government should consider borrowing money to invest in hundreds of thousands of new homes. The secretary of state for communities and local government, sajid javid, said ministers should take advantage of record low Interest Rates to deal with the housing crisis. Speaking on the andrew marr show, mrjavid said he was sure the forthcoming budget would have announcements that would cover housing. What i want to do is make sure we are using everything we have available to deal with the housing crisis, and where that means, for example, that we can sensibly borrow more to invest in infrastructure leading to more housing, take advantage of record low Interest Rates that we have, i think we should consider that.
