More than 36,000 workers are promising to strike after months of working without a contract. Two unions, Communications Workers of america and the International Brotherhood of electrical workers represent verizon land line and cable workers from mass pass to virginia. The unions say that verizon wants to freeze pensions, make layoffs easier and rely more on contract workers. Verizon says with higher medical costs, there are Health Care Issues that need to be addressed. Verizon says it also has thousands of nonunion employees trained and ready to fill in. The stabbing happened in a third floor hallway. Its unclear what kind of object was used for the stabbing, but parents are obviously concerned. We spoke with one of them who showed up here after all this happened. By the grace of god i work directly around the corner, i live in this neighborhood, so everything like now took me three minutes to get around the corner. So im here, theyre fine, ive seen their face, shes cool and now i got to go back to work. Reporter anything like this happen before . Not to my knowledge, no, sir.
