A new clinical nurse specialist has been appointed to support asbestos-related cancer patients in Scotland.
Lynne Hunter has joined charity Mesothelioma UK and will be based at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, part of NHS Lothian.

As a Mesothelioma UK clinical nurse specialist, she will provide nursing care and support for asbestos-related cancer patients in South East Scotland.
The UK has the highest incidence of mesothelioma – related to asbestos exposure and mostly affecting the lining of the lungs – in the world with around 2,700 people diagnosed each year.
