Jim Duffy’s side came from behind to seal a deserved victory which was engineered by the cultured left foot of former Motherwell and Morton midfielder Forbes. The 32-year-old forced the first save at Ainslie Park with a deflected effort but the hosts took the lead in some style a minute before the end of a tight first half.

Mullingar’s Aidan Keena will be hoping to play for Falkirk against Scottish giants Glasgow Celtic this Saturday evening.

Mullingar’s Aidan Keena is looking forward to this Saturday’s Scottish FA Cup game against Celtic. Keena, who has been playing as striker for Falkirk FC, in Scottish League One is hoping to lead the line against the Glasgow Giants in the Third Round of the Scottish Cup, at Celtic Park, this Saturday evening with kick off at 7.30pm.

The Edinburgh outfit face Celtic in the Scottish Cup Final next Sunday and Boyce, whose brace took his total of goals for the season to five, was relieved to get some game time after missing the midweek win at Morton.
“I missed the Morton match with a wee hamstring problem,” said Boyce, who also chalked up two assists against Queen of the South. “so just to get in and get 90 minutes under my belt felt good, and obviously getting my confidence up by scoring two goals.
“It was the perfect day. It was a great performance and it is important to keep the momentum going ahead of the big game.
