“UNDERVALUED” Fife Council workers could go on strike if they don’t get the pay rise they deserve. And co-leader David Ross warned there would be “significant cuts” to jobs and services if they have to fund it without any more money from the Scottish Government. His motion at last week’s full council meeting, backing Cosla’s position over the Scottish Joint Council for Local Government Employees pay claim, affecting the majority of council workers across the country, was agreed unanimously. Cllr Ross said: “The trade unions have already undertaken an indicative survey of their members and there is significant support for industrial action in support of the pay claim.
