Finlay MacDonald, 39, is accused of murdering John MacKinnon with a firearm, turning the weapon on two more victims and stabbing his wife, Rowena MacDonald, 32.
Finlay MacDonald, 39, appeared in Inverness Sheriff court today charged with the murder of John MacKinnon, attempted murder of his wife Rowena MacDonald (pictured) and two other people.
John MacKinnon, 47, has been named locally as the victim of yesterday s gun rampage, in which a further three people were injured before police arrested a suspect.
The attacker targeted four victims from the popular holiday island to Ross-shire and the incident was only halted when police tasered and stopped the suspect in the village of Dornie.
