In 1973, as a young university student, I saw the local theater marquee advertising a film called
The Exorcist. I went to see it alone. The scene where Linda Blair’s head spins around, even though I knew it wasn’t a real person but a puppet, the image was so powerful that it made me contemplate good versus evil. It affected me to the point that when I got home, I actually got down on my knees and said my prayers for the first time in over a decade, just in case!
