Michael Dwumfour made the most out of his one season playing college football in his home state.
The Scotch Plains native, who starred at DePaul Catholic, started eight games at defensive tackle for Rutgers after spending the past three years at the University of Michigan.
On Tuesday, Dwumfour announced he is forgoing his final year of eligibility and declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft. In the process, he thanked Rutgers coach Greg Schiano for “teaching (him) how to Chop’ and Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh for “the opportunity to earn (his) degree.’
