JEFFERSON CITY â Truman VAâs outpatient clinic held a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic Saturday.Â
This vaccination clinic was the second walk-in event Truman VA has hosted. Giving veterans the option to get vaccinated without an appointment is part of Truman VAâs efforts to increase the number of enrolled and eligible veterans.Â
The age requirement for the clinic was lowered from 65 to 55. Anyone receiving VA health care who met this age requirement was able to receive a vaccine.
âI think the fact that weâve lowered the age limit is important,â Truman VA Public Affairs Officer Jeff Hoelscher, said. âThat opens up a lot more veterans to be able to receive that vaccine.â

Subscriber only WITH strong family links to hockey, Wests club president Desleigh Smith has a simple message for those considering a return this season. I m hoping people are interested to come back and have a run, she said. Anyone that wants to come back and play and have some fun and enjoy either a social or competitive game of hockey, they are very welcome. While we are bound by current COVID restrictions, Ipswich Hockey has paved the way to allow us to still play a game of hockey and not be locked in our houses. Smith knows that first hand.
